Intellectual property strategy. As in-house counsel, Mr. Boundy was responsible for developing an intellectual property strategy to meet business objectives at appropriate cost. Mr. Boundy participated in developing strategic direction, and in negotiating in- and out-licenses.
- Evaluate inventors' disclosures--which inventions fit into corporate objectives, and should be patented?
- Assess competitive landscape--where is the industry headed, what can we invent to ensure that we maintain a competitive advantage?
- Evaluate portfolio against corporate objectives--can the portfolio be pruned to reduce costs while preserving value? Where can it be strengthened? How can the portfolio get out in front of industry trends?
